Faith Aint Bout No Soft Stuff

‘‘Faith Aint Bout No Soft Stuff ‘‘ is an exploration of portraiture and biblical texts' relationship with postmodern times through the manipulation of images. Through portraiture, the goal is to bring out the personality and humanity of her subject. Personal and found images are taken and stripped of their original context to create a narrative that's relevant to what's happening in the world. Through mediums such as oil, acrylic, and watercolor the series illustrates the human figure in a realistic manner and uses expressive mark-making and collaging to the backgrounds to convey purity and defilement.
